WP 11 - Data management and quality control
The work package 11 (WP 11) is dedicated to data management and quality control within the ONTOX project.
WP 11 is dedicated to data management and quality control within the ONTOX project. A central component is the development of a data management plan based on Horizon2020 guidelines and outline data policies for both existing and newly generated datasets, with the initial plan delivered within six months and updates provided at mid-term and final project reviews.
ONTOX’s data storage infrastructure leverages the BioStudies database, enables standardized, integrated data sharing accessible through the ONTOX Hub and mirrored on the COSMOS platform for advanced analyses. Data sharing, archiving, and preservation aligns with FAIR principles, ensuring secure storage in BioStudies with a five-year post-project retention. Protocols from OECD, including GIVIMP/GCCP, QMRF, and QPRF, guide in vitro and in silico data reliability, supplemented by EFSA-based quality and uncertainty checks. To ensure compliance with European data safety and privacy regulations, WP 11 establishes robust ethics and data protection policies, overseen by an appointed data protection officer and ethics experts, with an initial report ready within six months.
